University of Plymouth

Welcome to the University of Plymouth. We pride ourselves on having – in the words of The Sunday Times University Guide 2006 - ‘one of the best records of teaching and research in the modern university sector’. We have won government awards of more than £18.5 million for nine National Teaching Fellowships and four Centres for Excellence for Teaching and Learning – more than any other UK university has achieved. Our research portfolio is focussed in areas where we are true leaders, for instance in marine science and technology, neuroscience and arts.

You will find out for yourself just how dynamic and exciting a place Plymouth is. Both the campus and the city are undergoing massive investment. This September we will open purpose-built new facilities for the Faculty of Arts, which is transferring from Exeter to Plymouth and a new dental school.
