Privacy Policy & CookiesWe understand that your privacy is important. So, here's our what with any information you supply:1. Accessing the Website With the exception of the My Favourites and Win An Ipod pages, this website does not store or capture personal information, but merely logs the user's IP address (Internet Protocol: standard allowing data to be transmitted between two devices) which is automatically recognised by the webserver. 2. Cookies This site uses cookies to keep track of your browser session, otherwise, it does not collect any personal information about you except that required for system administration of the website. Cookies are pieces of data created when you visit a site, and contain a unique, anonymous number. They are stored in the cookie directory of your hard drive, and do not expire at the end of your session. 3. My Favourites The "My Favourites" page records your name, a password, and (optionally) where you study. This information is used to identify you uniquely when you sign in, in order to customise the site to your requirements. Currently, your colour preferences and a list of favourite pages is recorded. This information is not shared with anyone. 4. Win an Ipod Competition The "Win an Ipod" competition form requires you to provide your contact details, either an email, address or telephone number. These details will be forwarded to Creative Steps by plain text email for the sole purpose of contacting the winner. Your details will not be shared with any third party and we will not use this information to contact you without your consent. After the competition has ended, the information provided in the "where you study" field may be kept by Creative Steps in an anonymous, summary format (e.g. the total number of students from a particular college). All other information supplied as part of the "Win an Ipod" form will be destroyed once the winner has been contacted. |
