Activity 1: Pocket Bag

YOU WILL NEED: Scissors, pins, measuring tape, needle, thread and fabric.

This project can be done through hand sewing or machine sewing. You decide how big your pocket bag becomes, you may even decide to make it rectangle to put some pens in it, for example:

Square

Rectangle

What to do:

Step 1: Gather your materials: scissors, pins, measuring tape, needle, thread, fabric (I used an old shirt).

Step 2: prepare your materials: cut your fabric into a square or rectangle mine is 10x10cm. Pin the 2 fabric pieces together, the inside of the fabric should be on top, creating an edge of 1cm all around, leaving 1 side of the square unpinned.

Step 3: Sew the fabric together on the edge line (1cm rim) again leaving one side of the square un-sewn.

Step 4: pull the bag inside out, and fold over the open side on each piece of fabric and sew them individually to create the opening of your pocket bag.

Step 5: Done! Pop something in your bag.
