Activity 14: 'Follow The Lines' Drawing
For a colourful, striking image, try this 'Follow the Lines’ drawing tutorial. There is a term for this type of drawing, does anyone remember what it is?
YOU WILL NEED:
WHAT TO DO:
Gather all your materials: 1 pentagon shaped piece of paper (10cm on each side), pencil and ruler.
The pentagon should be 10 cm on each side - place a dot with every 1 cm and add a number to it, 1-10.
Do this on all sides.
Now use your ruler to make a line from dot 1 on one side to dot 2 on another side. These should be straight lines.
Move to dot 2 on 1 side to dot 3 on another side - keep continuing this same way.
Don’t overthink it, just trust it and you will end up with a gorgeous pattern.
Colour in the pattern - this way you will have created your own mandala as such.
If you feel adventurous there are lots of different patterns when making these drawings- have a look on the pinterest board and try some of these out!
If you make one of these, please send us a photo - we would love to see!
