Activity 14: 'Follow The Lines' Drawing

For a colourful, striking image, try this 'Follow the Lines’ drawing tutorial. There is a term for this type of drawing, does anyone remember what it is?

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Paper

  • Pencils

  • Ruler

WHAT TO DO:

Step 1.

 

Gather all your materials: 1 pentagon shaped piece of paper (10cm on each side), pencil and ruler.

Step 2.

 

The pentagon should be 10 cm on each side - place a dot with every 1 cm and add a number to it, 1-10.

 

Do this on all sides.

Step 3.

Now use your ruler to make a line from dot 1 on one side to dot 2 on another side. These should be straight lines.

Step 4.

Move to dot 2 on 1 side to dot 3 on another side - keep continuing this same way.

 

 

 

Don’t overthink it, just trust it and you will end up with a gorgeous pattern.

Step 5.

 

Colour in the pattern - this way you will have created your own mandala as such.
