Activity 73: Salt Dough Decorations

Using three easy to obtain materials, you can make beautiful decorations with any design, shape or theme.
We have a few salt dough packs left at Gallery 966, so pick one up at our next collection to give it a try.
You Will Need:
-
250 grams of plain flour
-
125 grams of salt
-
125 ml of warm water
Step by step guide:

Pop the flour and salt into a bowl and gradually add the warm water until it turns into the texture of cookie dough.

Remember to make a hole in any decorations you are looking to hang up.

Now you can shape it onto anything you like (even 3D).

The salt dough can now be placed in the oven, for 3 hours at the lowest temperature. Or you could simply let it dry out for a week or so.

Or use some cookie cutters to create shapes.
Once hardened you can paint or varnish the decorations and pop the little red ribbon on to hang them up.
If you make one of these, please send us a photo!
