Activity 82:   Draw on a Plate or Mug

Have a look on Pinterest or on the internet to gather some ideas. There are lots of great examples on there, but to get started I would stick to a simple design on a cheap mug or plate.

This is a very easy activity which can look great - I left mine in the electric oven for 30 minutes, which has proven too long for the yellow to show up - keep that in mind.

You Will Need:

  • Sharpie Pens

  • Plain mug or plate - oven and dishwasher safe

  • Oven

Step by step guide:

Start drawing with your sharpie pencils onto the ceramic. I made little dots to keep it simple.

Once you are happy with your design, pop it into a COLD oven.

Now heat the oven at 350 F or 175 C.

After 30 minutes or if you have an electric oven after 25 minutes, take your item out of the oven and leave to cool.
