Create and Connect with Nature: Mental Health Awareness Week 2021

Today is the first day of Mental Health Awareness Week. This year the theme is Nature, a topic which fits perfectly with crafting and creativity.

You can read more about the campaign which is run by the Mental Health Foundation here.

To explore how we can #connectwithnature and experience our wonderful environment in an accessible and creative way, we have planned a week of nature themed activities.

Starting this morning with an online class in Forest Leaf crafting, we will continue throughout the week with workshops such as Cherry Pom Poms, Rose Trees and Cloud Crafting.

Our Friday sewing classes will also be busy making beautiful fabric flower wreaths and petal coasters.

We have some spaces left in our online classes, so get in touch if you want to sign up. You can see the current schedule and class book here.

Visit us during our pack collection times this Wednesday (10-12) to collect seeds, nature themed crafting activities and a little nature themed paper activity pack.

Later today we will be setting up our new nature themed window display at Gallery 966, so take a look if you are passing us. If you want to contribute any of your crafting projects to the new display please bring them to our Wednesday drop in.

Happy crafting!
