Get Inspired by Felting: Online Group
We wanted to share some of the incredible creations crafted by our recent felting group participants.
Over two weeks, participants were introduced to both the wet felting and needle felting methods. Felting is incredibly adaptable - once you have grasped the techniques, you can 'paint' an image or create a figure of anything you can think of.
The methods involved in felting can be very calming. Getting into a rhythm with the techniques can help with practicing healthy breathing and controlling anxiety.
We plan to run further felting workshops during our November - December programme - this time looking at creating 3D models using felt. We will release the details on our schedule page next month.
If you want to give this a try in your own time, there are many helpful tutorials on YouTube to get you started. We also have felting packs available to collect from Gallery 966 during collection times: Monday and Wednesday, 10:00 - 12:00.
