Lanterns and Lines: Paper Crafting

Our activities for this week both use paper pentagons - but lead to completely different results.

In our first tutorial, Vanessa will show you how to create this incredible paper lantern using just paper, a ruler and glue.

You can see the star effect created by folding and sticking layers together.

If you tried our Watercolour Painting activity, why not use your beautifully coloured paper to craft this design - continuing our upcycling theme.

This is great activity for those who would like a challenge and something to keep them busy for a few hours.

You could even make a few and string them together - imagine how amazing that would look.

Next, we have a line drawing activity that creates a striking and calming pentagon image. Using our tutorial, you both create the pattern and then decorate it however you wish.

This would look lovely turned into a hanging to decorate your home, or would make an amazing gift tag for someone.

Ultimately, the fun is in the creation and the calming effect that drawing these line patterns can have.

We always love to see what you create, so if you make either of these please send us a photo. We are so thankful for all of the wonderful photos that we have been sent so far.

Stay safe, well and creative!
